Tesco delivers to British Forces Post Office (BFPO) Addresses

If you’ve got family serving in the armed forces overseas, you’ll want an easy and reliable way to send them gifts.
With effect from 17th October, Tesco direct is partnering with the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) to help you do just that.
When you order gifts from Tesco direct, you can arrange for them to be sent to a BFPO address overseas for exactly the same cost as for a standard home delivery within the UK.
We’ll deliver your items to BFPO HQ. From there, they’ll be sent to the chosen BFPO address overseas for no extra cost.
To find out how to place, track and manage your BFPO orders, visit the Tesco direct BFPO page.
So, remember to make Tesco direct your first port of call when you’re looking for gifts to send your loved ones overseas this Christmas and Armistice Day.

Sparrenburg Castle

High above the town on the Sparrenberg hill sits imposing Sparrenburg Castle. Its mighty fortifications are located right next to one of the most beautiful ridge walks in Germany, the 156km Hermannsweg.
Constructed in the mid 13th century by the Counts of Ravensberg, the castle was administrative centre and residence of the county sovereign, and protected the town and trade routes through the Bielefeld pass. It was rebuilt many times. Sparrenburg Castle gained its present outline in the middle of the 16th century. A vast 300m system of underground passages can be explored from April to October, and visitors can enjoy panoramic views over the town Panorama and surrounding countryside.

Reporting incidents to the RMP

Reporting Incidents to the RMP: Advice and Information

Routine Calls

 For a non-emergency call, you should call the RMP Station (Military - 94879 - 2223; or Civilian: 05254 982 2223).

They will record the details, and if needed, they will liaise with the German Civil Police (GCP) on your behalf.

You can also contact the RMP in BFG via email or social media:

From DII: 1RMP-110 ProCoy-Group Mailbox (MULTIUSER)

From Personal Email: 1RMP-110 ProCoy-GroupMailbox@mod.uk

http://facebook.com/1RegtRMP http://twitter.com/@1RegtRMP

Emergencies Due to the distance between many SFA in BFG and the one remaining Military Police Station in Sennelager, the response time for an RMP patrol can be too long in the case of an emergency. Therefore, unless you live in the Sennelager / Paderborn area, emergency calls should always be made to the GCP (emergency telephone number - 110). If you are unable to make contact with the GCP due to language problems, then a call should be made to the RMP emergency number (05254 982 2222), when the duty interpreter will contact GCP on the your behalf.

A follow up call should also be made to the RMP to make sure that a record is kept by them of all incidents. REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY You should ALWAYS report anything suspicious to the police; no matter how trivial it may seem. It’s much better to report something that turns out to be harmless, than to not bother to report something that turns out to be important.

Crime Prevention advice is available on any matter from the RMP station. Please call the routine number.

Bielefeld Gymnasium - DEPs/UKBCs/LECs are to have personal liability and personal accident insurance

Since 2011 to use ANY MOD Gym, DEPs/UKBCs/LECs are to have personal liability and personal accident insurance, this is due to a costly amount of claims against the MOD.
The MOD will no longer accept responsibility for any injuries.
If any DEP/UKBC/LEC wants to use an MOD gym and take part in activities then it is at own risk, if they get injured, then they claim from their own insurance and not the MOD. All members have, since the refurbishment in 2014, signed to say they have the correct insurance and signed the risk assessment before using the gym.
The difference at Bl gym is the station has paid for the personal liability for Bl stationed DEPs and UKBCs only, so all you are required to pay for is personal accident insurance. Anyone that hasnt got it, needs to get it to use the gym and take part in any activities to adhere to the MODs policy. It can be purchased cheaply at the ergo insurance office in block 8. Most home insurance offers personal accident insurance in their policies, a phone call to check it covers them in the gym is sometimes required if not stated in the policy. Any new members to the gym since 2016 have to provide a copy of accident insurance. Anyone that hasnt signed the risk assessment should do it asap to adhere to the MODs policy and avoid any disapointment. Anyone that still doesn't understand should speak with Ricky in the Gym on ext 3249 where he will explain what is required.
